Well hello everyone, it’s been a while hasn’t it?
In all honesty.. I guess I thought I was too busy to make blog posts, which is a terrible excuse. A few months ago, making a blog post was always in the back of my mind, but then? I went through a breakup. So, even though starting this blog was something I did for myself, that relationship featured in the majority of my posts and as a result I couldn’t face coming back to it. I suppose this blog was a trigger, triggers are just really inconvenient aren’t they? However one by one i’ve been able to break them down, I feel lucky because some triggers never go away, never stop hurting.
Today I popped to my local service station for some bread and milk (and a Red Bull), I happened to venture out when the light was just perfect, I snapped this photo. Looking at this photo brought out a feeling I haven’t felt in a long time, it got me excited for photography again.
I was going to upload it to Instagram but I thought you know what? It’s time to revisit the blog. So here I am, giving it a go again.
So, what now Jess? What have you been doing?
Well I’ve started a new job, it’s a fun position and I am surrounded by such lovely coworkers! Outside of work i’ve been learning a lot, some good things and some bad, it’s something i’m working on.
I’ve also spent a lot of time with my wonderful friends, hanging out (mainly at places with cheap alcohol, because who doesn’t love getting drunk for $20?). I’m surrounded by such great people that love me and more importantly, tell me what’s what.
Maybe one of the most exciting developments that has happened with me is that i’m going on holiday again! And not alone this time, i’ve convinced my friend Jacinta to come to Thailand with me! Much excite! Neither Jacinta nor I have been to Thailand before (Jacinta has actually never left the country) therefore it’s going to be a true adventure for the both of us! We’re visiting at the end of September, heading to Bangkok to see the hustle and bustle and then its off to Phuket to get in as much relaxing time as possible! Excited doesn’t even cover half of it!
